Sure lit them up. Seems a bit of an overkill, 60 tomahawks for some rinky dink airfield. But I guess the President was looking to make sure they received his message, which I'm sure they did.
Senior and I want to know why is Russia so interested in Syria..what do they have that Russia wants.If Russia was honestly pissed about the airstrike they would have responded and canceled this weeks metting with the Secretary of State.
Well, the only Russian Naval Base on the Med is Latakia, in Syria. And the Russians have an airfield in Syria, where they can stage Naval Backfire bombers from their black sea bases. The Russians have been in Syria since 1962. I think they don't like Assad so much as they want to keep those two bases and aren't all that sure a "new" government would let them.
