Kids these days know way too much stuff and are so opinionated. Today while hearing about all the illegal immigration hubub-aloo....our oldest asked why these people are here illegally.
Then it went to "deport them"
then on to "arrest them, they are law breakers throw them all in jail"
Kids really do ask some pretty intelligent questions, and come up with some really good views and ideas on society.
I am of the belief that our world would be a much better place if adults were to stand aside and let kids under 10 run it.
Our conversation went to the fact that we know four people who came here from Italy, Jamaica, and Russia. All have successfully completed citizenship classes and were sworn in as U.S Citizens. They are not on welfare, they learned our language, got jobs legally, college graduates, and are productive citizens in this country. They did it all the right way, not the wrong way.
The little chat ended with "if our friends can do it, then why not everyone else" ? hmmm another question that makes me think.

ReplyDeleteI agree... My friends worked their butts off and I even helped my Italaian friend study for her exam...just pisses me off that others feel its okay to "cut in the line"
DeleteIf they didn't vote consistently Femocrat as a block there wouldn't be a question or a problem because it would be fixed. At one time the early illegals actually voted more solidly Republican which muddies the water a bit and makes some of the old Repubs think they can win them over. Then of course all big business wants them too.

The Femocrats have made sure the courts back them and anything that is done to try and stop them is a civil rights violation. Voting in the people who will try and stop it through legislation isn't going to work I'm afraid. It's going to take blood.
Or an economic collapse which wills end em back South faster than they came North.

DeleteThis is my argument. My grandparents came here from Italy, they did it the right way, they would not even let their kids speak Italian, they were American and they would speak English. It makes me sick that we are doing this.

mu grandmother and her family came in at Ellis Island. And much like your family.All though they lived in the italian area of Jersey, they integrated in to America.No one was Italian, or Irish, or German...everyone was American.
DeleteThey learned english, and fought in WWll. The only times I remember any Italian heritage coming in to play was around holidays and weddings...
oh...and to answer your question on what other countries would do...They wouldn't. In other countries you are arrested and put behind bars.Much like in Mexico and Central America.
