It's Wednesday. I have been a bit under the weather which is why I have not posted much these past couple of days. But, Now I am feeling much better.
It has been very hot here, afternoon storms kick up and provide much needed rain and a lightening show for us.
The other day after dinner, I mustered the energy to go out to the beach with Senior and the boys. First time this summer. Moo-Moo can't believe we have not been yet...but as I told her.. "ummm I have a life"...lol
Caught some good pics, including this one :
Every time we see the horses on the beach, Senior and I joke about who picks up their "poo" lol

This morning I saw something I have never seen. I had taken the dogs out, and saw a bee flying around my cucumbers, it landed on one of the blooms and did what bees do to flowers.
Which leads me to my next question. The other day I was buying some local honey for my dad.
but, there were so many types. I picked one that said "wildflower". What is the difference?

Saturday we got to meet my nieces Fiance, he is a really nice guy. We like him. How in the world My niece hooked him is beyond us!. That same day I also worked up a trade. I traded my Ruger 10/22 for a compound bow. I know I probably got the short end of the deal, but I grew up with the family of the young man I traded it too, he is supporting a young wife, and 2 small children, and could not afford to buy something that nice out right. But, now I need to get my new bow a tune up and adjusted for me. He had it at 55#s pull, and that is a bit too much for me.
Senior is getting a "diamond" brand. It comes in the mail today..he is "Over the moon" excited about it too.

Today I am on the search for boxes, another community garage sale is this weekend. the proceeds we make will go to giving my Cherokee a tune up, and changing of his fluids. My goal is to out right sale my Subaru to carmax, and drive the Cherokee a while. How long the while will be I am not sure, but I am hoping to cut in to some of our debt, and this is one way to accomplish that- We will flip that car payment and put that money on something else so we can pay that item down faster.
Then when we see where Senior will land a job in logistics, we will go from there with the purchase of another vehicle and keep the Cherokee as our "fun/ project" car. We have been looking at the Nissan Xterras...and No way will I buy anything new..
Okay, so that is that. Have a happy Wednesday !

Nor'Easter and Kids
A good spring Nor'easter is setting up off our coast. It is bringing us clouds and high winds, with some light rain. Its Sunday morning, and I thank God for another day.
Senior is off again, up to SC to check on his dad. He got what could be some potentially bad news about the rehabilitation center. Things there may not be going the way we have expected them too.
So please keep Senior and his Dad in your prayers.
Its back to me and the boys again--they are unhinged-. ND has all ready stood corner duty once since Dad has left, and NW is about to "stand before the man" in the corner.
I have asked and asked for them to clean up their rooms, and make beds....to help mom out.. But, it has fallen on deaf ears. The next thing to be done will be no Kindles. NW is standing in front me with his little harmonica, he has a little smirk on his face, and his eyes are dancing back and forth between my stares and his brother. He's brothers little giggles and grins are daring NW . both are seeing how far they can push mom today.
At this rate, they won't have anything left to play with...no kindles, no xbox, and I will make them pack up toys, and make them both sit in a room completely void of any and all entertainment.
They are teasing and calling each other names back and forth : "Mom!, NW said I am a motormouth",
"Mom !, ND called me a stinking democrat"....
Oh for the Love of God I think! I need a good stiff adult beverage and A tropical Island. Yea thats it, white sand, cool blue waters, palm trees, sunny skies and a warm ocean breeze....

The Perfect Beach Day
Today was the most picture perfect beach day. Sunny, not too terribly hot. Today is the last Friday before school goes back. Senior wanted to surprise his boys, and take them fishing. It is hard to believe that just 2 short months ago I was blogging about the last day, after this weekend I will be blogging about the first day.
There is a State Park near here and we have been wanting to go. You have to wait until the tide is out, and you must drive a 4x4-anything else and you will get stuck.
You could wade through tidal pools and stand on a sand bar, the water was clear and had a greenish tint. No hotels, no houses and restaurants cluttering the beach-scape. The most enjoyable part was it was not crowded, we only counted a small handful of beach goers.. Just a empty unspoiled perfect beach......

.
I have never found perfect Conch Shells on our local beaches, but I did at this beach. They were in the shallow water in abundance. It is now my most favorite place.
And then there is the local wildlife, we saw several Turtles this size sunning themselves in the dunes

My Update on Beryl.....
Okay, so we were some of those people I posted about earlier..that go down to the beach to "see the storm"...I am happy I did because it really gave me some good blogging material. Besides I felt like it was my blogging duty to go down, tempt fate to get some good pics to report back to my readers.
Winds are all ready gusting at around 25-35mph. standing on my beloved beach felt like being in a virtual sand blaster, we have been there many times during storms, but nothing compared to this. It is during these times that Mother Nature shows you just how little we really are.
It is also in these times, that you see the true stupidity of people, for while we were down there cruising in the jeep we came upon a bunch of folks, with tents..camping.. Really! No S---t !
One person sleeping in one of the tents, and another person actually lounging in a chair. A small child sitting on the roof of the truck and another woman who looked like she was upset at the man in the lounge chair. Hopefully she was telling him how foolish they looked and that whatever the situation they needed to get off the blasted beach.
Winds are whipping, the tide was all ready high, but getting even higher with an approaching storm surge, so it will be soon that the water will be up to the dunes. These folks will not last out there camping..even during this low impact tropical storm...Heck, we have seen just a tropical storm do more damage then some hurricanes
But now Senior is out getting more gas. We also stopped by the grocery store for a few items...and yes it was starting to become a madhouse..
and this is the lastest radar image...Beryl now has a eye....
