I know life goes on. It is what is and nothing can change that. However I am saddened by the outcome. We have to keep up the fight for our Country. She is in distress. She needs us now more then ever.
Every election has consequences..today across this country the unemployment rate is about to go up. Why? Because of the Obamacare mandates. If you have more then 50 employees..you are screwed.
people will lose their jobs, or have to have hours cut back to avoid the harsh burden on small businesses.
I truly hope the unemployment rate jumps to 30 %. They voted for it..let them deal with it. Then in January the even higher tax burdens then what we have now. The ignorant voters that choose this know not what they have done.
The day here is actually cold and windy. But at least the sun is out. I can see the shadow of the flag in our front yard waving in the wind across the grass.. I am still hopeful for our Country. Thin gs will go on, daily life will continue. The prepping though will be amped up. Finding a way to get out and purchase acreage. Becoming as self reliant as possible is on our agenda.
I suggest you all do the same if you haven't all ready.

I'm so happy I found your blog! We're saddened by the outcome as well. My family and I have already been talking about acreage in GA or NC. You are giving good advice, hope people take it seriously!
ReplyDeleteEven if you have to buy a few acres at a time it would at least be a start.
DeleteI too am saddened and disappointed; but I like your idea about acreage. I was telling my husband we need to get a plan in place for the next four years (he kind of didn't put too much thought into my words) but I do like the idea about being self reliant and acreage. I do think it will get far worse here in this country than anyone ever imagined but the voters did make their (sad) selection. Trying to trust in God and know that he is in control, but just still terribly disappointed.

It is going to get a lot more worse. if you wanted to know what a Second Jimmy Carter term would look like, then here it comes. Like I told Sweet Marie, even if you have to buy a couple of acreas at a time, then at least its a start.
DeleteJUGM - you are offering excellent advice and it is the same advice that i tell all preppers - get out of the zombie-occupied cities and towns and get some acreage in a rural setting, move there, and become as self-sufficient as possible! it's why we moved here 2 years ago. things are ugly and are only going to get uglier. i am incredibly disappointed by the election results as well. chin up, Gurlie. and get yourself to somewhere rural!
ReplyDeleteyour friend,
kymber
Thanks Kymber... I feel like someone that I love very much has died..but I guess in a way that has happend..Our Beautiful Country. I went on to FB and deleted all my liberal friends and family..call it a knee jerk reaction or whatever..I just can't stand to hear anything they say anymore.
DeleteWe have heard of people taking money out of their investments today. We are not rich, not even middle class, I think we are at poverty level on some chart, but we are going to invest in ourselves! My homesteading has now taken a turn towards prepping, its what made me quit blogging last week. I needed to feel more prepared for whatever comes our way! Land is a great idea, if you don't have any. We have 2 1/2 acres mainly wooded hills it's enough right now, but we may be looking to get further away from town soon.
ReplyDeleteif there is anything you should invest in, it is gold or silver. Silver is more affordable. I wouldn't invest anything in the stock market..look at what it did today, and its only going to keep tanking.
DeleteYes Prep but do not only Prep for survival prep and produce for the resources necessary for the resistance. These Femocrats and voters in the cities are not going to be the ones hit by these new taxes and regulations it is going to be those out in the rural areas with land.
ReplyDeleteWe have but one option now and that is to resist with force when they come calling.
AMEN !
DeleteI've enjoyed this posting!! Please keep being who you are and what you think! I agree with you...on the land/property thing. I have 6 acres and have been thinking about selling but ???I don't know...taxes already tooooo high! This is a sad day for America....ANYTHING GOES...I would say a lot more but I won't.
ReplyDeleteYep. This is our plan too. Do more of what we have been doing and maybe a bit faster. It's hard to chin up because I love this country and I am so sad to see her go, but it is what it is. I intend to be both prepared and happy.
ReplyDeleteTalk about thinking alike. By the way I like your flag better then mine. I'm going to use it.
