The End of The Day

The day ended with a peaceful time on the archery range

But then that peaceful time ended by killing     zombies with BB guns...and suddenly killing a zombie gopher and masked zombie makes every thing right in the world

Wednesday...

Fall has certainly made its impression on my area. Windy, cloudy and misty. Temps down in the 50s here. Feels wonderful, and very seasonable. I think I will ask Senior to get my Fall decor down from the attic.
Halloween is around the corner and approaching faster then I hoped it would.
The boys had all kinds of wonderful but scary things they wanted to be for Halloween this year, so we wrote them all down on paper, and put them in a hat, tossed the hat around and Senior picked.
They will be Zombies.
My sister will cringe, my mother will say "ewww why? "  And I will sit back and smile.

A few folks have asked about my brothers girlfriends teenage son. Remember him? My brother picked him up in a walmart parking lot, he had been homeless.
Well, he moved the kid in with him in upstate NY. He escorted him to the nearest Army Recruiter, and he signed up for delayed entry. The Army has a program with one of the local colleges and with that he is getting his GED.  I am happy to report that it does look like the kid is getting himself straightened out, and will soon  be working on what we all hope will be a great Army career.

Remember my niece is getting married ?  If there is one thing that can cause family arguments, its a wedding ! The shear money they are forking out is mind boggling, and I am perplexed on how my brother in law who is a mail carrier is going to pay for it all.
Most definitely one of those platinum weddings you read about all the time. My brother and I have guesstimated they are dropping at least $25,000 on it. And they have a guest list of over 300 people.
When Senior and I got married, our wedding was $1700.00 and, we paid for it ourselves.  We planned it in 6 weeks. This particular wedding is not until May of next year.

Sorry, my mind is really boggled right now over $25,000 for one day...  It just..."WOWs" Me.  But yet I know, there are people out there who spend more.

So now its off here, laundry is calling my name, kids will be out of school soon, and dinner plans await. Have a fun "Hump Day"

Late Night Training...Uh?

The Miami Herald posted a story that came from the Coconut Grove area. Residents were jolted awake around 1:45am early Tuesday morning. Because the Federal Government took over an abandoned hotel and decided to have "Urban Training".  The Army is saying that their Special Forces needed "Realistic Training".  But, my problem with it is , why are they doing it in residential neighborhoods? Is this something they have always done? and  it has just never been reported? I do know they like to do natural disaster drills, which is done on the bases of course...but not in the middle of the night, and under such secrecy.
  http://www.miamiherald.com/2012/05/08/2789687/military-training-in-the-middle.html

I write this post to kind of go along with what Rob said over at his Bunker. There have been more and more stories of our military using our neighborhoods as their training grounds. Rob asked on his blog if BO wants to somehow institute martial law in order to stay in office. My answer is a definitive  yes! All this is coinciding around the whole Trayvon case, and now the raids and arrest of the White Supremacists in central Florida...it is all too ironic. Somehow, Somewhere, Something is going to explode...and BO is going to do whatever it takes to stay in office for as long as he can and use any means neccessary to achieve that goal. And they are doing it right under our own noses, and in our own neighborhoods...by the time the American people wake up and realize it, its all going to be too late.

You know when Senior and I took the boys over to West Florida, the entire drive over we kept passing these dark green mini school buses, the windows were all blacked out. No markings on them and they were all being towed on flat bed trucks.. Senior mentioned that must be the buses that will take us all to the concentration camps..there were so many of them that it was starting to get scary.

So yea in closing...what Rob said.." The Zombies are on the Move"  but in more ways then we all realize....

The Costco Cashier and Zombie Apocalypse....

Earlier this afternoon, Senior, the boys and I made a trip out to COSTCO. We wanted to get more rice and sugar, plus I was shopping for a new IPOD, mine of 5years got fried about 2 weeks ago while I was backing out the driveway, coffee spilled on to it. So Senior told me I could shop for a  new one. However, imagine my disappointment when I realized Costco does not sell them, but they have no problem selling the IHOME docking station for them... ?????????

We shopped for other items not on our list, and managed to fill up the cart. I had the youngest in the shopping cart seat, and joked with the check out guy: " This didn't have a bar code on it, so I don't know what it costs"....LOL   He laughed and said " sorry, ma'am can't sell him then"  The youngest starred at me in horror cause he thought he was going to have to live at Costco,
he said " If I live here I will eat everything"..   Our lovely cashier heard him and said... " little boy you want to live here? well my family told me that when the ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE happens, we are coming to Costco and locking all the gates"  So, our youngest in all his infinite wisdom, then says:
" Democrats are Zombies" ! ...

Then I came home and stumbled upon this most appropriate pic:
