I read an interesting article this morning on Homeland Security making a huge ammo purchase. To the tune of some 450 Million rounds of hollow point bullets and they have an open bid for 175 million rounds of .223.
Call me crazy, but doesnt that seem a bit excessive?. Why would Homeland Security need all that ammo, when we have a military to defend us?. My answer would begin in 2008 on the campaign trail when Obama announced he would like to a have a civilan police force. You see signs of this every day with his overall disregard for our active duty military.
The following is a press release from ATK ( the contractor) and Homeland Security :
"ATK announced that it is being awarded an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) agreement from the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (DHS, ICE) for .40 caliber ammunition. This contract features a base of 12 months, includes four option years, and will have a maximum volume of 450 million rounds.
ATK was the incumbent and won the contract with its HST bullet, which has proven itself in the field. The special hollow point effectively passes through a variety of barriers and holds its jacket in the toughest conditions. HST is engineered for 100-percent weight retention, limits collateral damage, and avoids over-penetration.
“We are proud to extend our track record as the prime supplier of .40 caliber duty ammunition for DHS, ICE,” said Ron Johnson, President of ATK’s Security and Sporting group"
Ruger Firearms recent promotion From January 1- Feb. 29th was so successful that they had to suspend new gun sales until May 2012, because they had orders totaling more then 1 million guns that were sold during that promtional time.
Since Obama has taken office, it is not a secret that gun sales in this country have increased. The FBI has reported there are now more then 1.4 million active gang members in our country a figure which as increased 40% since 2009. With our sagging economy, violent home invasions are also on the rise.
Clearly Americans are feeling more and more they need to arm themselves, and with the DHS making such large ammo purchases, Private citizens may find it hard to purchase ammo. Which again takes me back to my intial question of why DHS needs it, and whom do they plan using it on?

What is Your Favorite Gun ?
Today over on the "Anything About Guns Blog" they are asking what is your favorite gun to shoot and why?
For me, My All time favorite is My Taurus Judge. It is completely Bad @$$ . I use to carry it as my concealed gun, but as much As I love him, it was just too heavy. So that is when I got my Glock. Now my Judge is used as a home defense gun, as it takes both 410 shotgun shells and .45 Colt. . It has a rifled barrel, so it doesnt come under the ultra-restricted classification of a short barreled shot gun, As long as I use .45 in it, I can freely shoot it at my indoor range.
I have taken it to a private out door range on several occassions and shot spaghetti squash and watermelons with it, Doing this gave me the advantage of seeing what shooting with a shotgun shell at close range can do to a potential attacker. The Judge renders a different kind of stopping trauma because the energy developed by the pellets is more broad and instantaneous...In other words: It creates one heck of a mess and can certainly ruin a persons day.
So, now I pass the question off to all my good followers and those who are not...You have heard about my favorite gun, what is yours?

You Carry???? Really??
I haven't been online much in the past couple of days.. It is the busy season for us, and Both Senior and I are thrust in to the middle of our work. It is a first for me, because now the boys are in school, I can help more. I am enjoying and it is helping with my weight loss issue. Yesterday I got to install 3 trays of grass plugs for an elderly client, and then today we rented a tiller and did some work at my sisters house. Plus, we got the most excellent news of getting awarded yet another commercial property to mow...so our little business has been very blessed.
Sunday was my friend who past aways viewing. I was so depressed and sad that afterwards I stopped by my neighbors house for a few margaritas. I know, you all probably think my middle name is "margarita" with as much as I talk about them.. I promise I am no lush. --But they are just so darn good.
So we are sitting around talking, and her husband lights off their fire pit, only he has no traditional fire wood, but uses instead some of her dead hibiscus plants..let me tell you those things can burn..
our conversation goes to guns and how my friend has her CWL.. I was floored. Because of all the people out there I would have NEVER figured she would be a person that would carry. She is European, and has never struck me as a Pro-Gun Rights person. The conversation has never arose , and I am never one to approach the subject either, I just keep things to myself.
Her husband then tells me how before he left for Afghanistan as a private contractor, he encouraged her to get her license, and purchase a gun. She chose the Lady Smith and Wesson Revolver with laser grips. I then heard about how she just loves her little gun, and how she likes shooting it.... So I was like " Alrighty Then!!!"... " When do you want to go to the range for a ladies day? " So we are, after spring break is over.
The night ended with a couple more drinks, and her whipping out some Greek Green Olive Hummus..I had never had it before, but I actually liked it. I then walked home to a lonely Senior who was stuck here with the kids.... : ) Who stated " I thought I was going to have to send your PJ's Over there for you".. Ahahahahah....He is so funny!

Hanoi Jane Plays Nancy Reagan
Oh the out rage and debate that is being sparked after Jane Fonda has been tapped to play Nancy Reagan in a new movie entitled "The Butler" ..... What is worse for me is that Oprah has been asked to act in it as well..surprisingly she WILL NOT be playing Michelle Obama..

Black Panthers Offer Reward
It is my sincere belief that this case is a powder keg, And all it will take is one person shooting an arrow into its side for it all to explode. I also firmly believe that the media is fueling this. They are enabling all this with the air time they are giving the story. So much coverage is on the news here about it, that it is getting nauseating. While the DA needs to proceed with the case, she also needs to start investigating the threats that have been made.
Black Panthers Offer $10,0000 reward
Meanwhile, the MSM is giving this story 24/7 attention, where is the story about the Kansas City 13 year old who was beat up and burnt by 2 black kids? I at first had not heard of this crime until a poster mentioned it on our news channels website. Then I did a search for it. While the Florida case is getting 24/7 coverage, all I found on the Missouri case was a little more then 2 small paragraphs. ...
This innocent child was burnt because he was white. Where is Al Sharpton and company when it comes to this boy, and when is there going to be a march in his honor?

A Not So Happy, Happy Meal
In my constant defiance of all things Michelle Obama and her Food initiative-I treated the boys to a happy meal. Am I the only person who is totally blown away by the fact that someone who is not in public office, can have such influence? I mean who the hell does she think she is? In the Navy world, she would be the navy wife that "Wears her husbands rank".. she thinks just because her husband is the Prez...that she has the same power. Kind of like when I worked on Base, and the little navy wives would say to me: "But we are an officer"... No, honey YOU are NOT the Officer, YOUR husband is. YOUR just another dependent in the eyes of the Navy.
So I get lunch home, and open their little bags. The small fries once included have been diminished to a mere "sample" it was just enough to piss off our 5 year old. And now, a new staple in your happy meal: apple pieces. I am not saying its a bad thing, our kids love apples. It's another fine example of what one persons influence can have, all because thinks she wears her husbands Presidency.

My Week
This has been an sad week..I hope it ends on a better note..
First, Wednesday and Thursday while taking boys to school, we have encountered car accidents. Not just little fender benders, but total destruction ones. Wednesday it was a girl who pulled out of our community and on to a busy State Road. she did not look , and hit a motorcyclist. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The police handed the girl all kinds of tickets..I havent heard an update to the motorcyle rider, but I am hoping he will be okay.
Thursday, we again are headed to school, and get to the interstate, when I see all kinds of blue and red flashing lights. " Not again" I thought.. a small car had collided with a logging truck. They both had a green light, but the car driver did not have a green arrow in order to safely turn left, she went anyways right in to the path of the truck..unfortunantly her mother the passanger was killed. The car was virtually bent in half..I have never seen such carnage. It looked awful The driver of the car is in critical condition, and the truck driver got some minor injuries. I know it was the cars fault, but I have witnessed many times how these logging truck drive, and there is no way he was doing the posted 45mph.
Then Thursday evening, a bit of sad news for the friends and family of an old High School Classmate of mine. She passed away from a progressive form of Lou Gherigs diseaase. It depressed me so much last night, because she was only a year older then me, and left behind her high school sweetheart husband and 2 children who are not much older then my boys. I remember her fondly from school, and the brief time she was my childhood next door neighbor, I even have a pic of us together as little girls. She was such a beautiful person inside and out..I know she is in a better place...But I pray for her family that they may find solace during this tough time. I hate it for her babies though, it really makes me sad to think of children losing a parent at such a young age. So last night, I hugged mine a little bit more, and kissed their little cheeks, and told them how much mommy and daddy love them.
So, now its on to our weekend and yard work for us, I just put in 2 trays of marigolds around our maple trees and now we are going to put in a fresh layer of mulch in all the beds. I enjoy working outdoors, it makes me happy to be digging in the earth, and watching things grow, I think it will be good therapy after such a sad week and a reminder to me that life does go on......

Navy Life...And The Things I Miss...
I grew up in a Navy town, I remember the day when if you werent from this area, then you were a sailor. I remember being in high school and all the girls had sailors for their boyfriends. Back 30 years ago most of the guys didn't have cars, and had to walk every where so it was common place for us girls to "Cruise" for guys.. Of course i didn't meet Senior like this, we met some years later in a local bar, I was shocked that I met a sailor who was actually from here..
I miss working on base, and the pride I would feel every single morning driving past the ships, stopping while the sailors raised the morning colors.
I miss being respected and called "Ma'am"
I miss seeing the guys in line for morning muster on the flight decks..
I miss seeing all those big ships every day, and thinking how lucky I am. most Americans will never get to see one up close like I do.
I miss duty days, and taking Senior dinner, then hanging out with him. And if he had a weekend duty day, sometimes we would fish off the end of the boat ( how many people can say they have done that? )
I miss the Fourth of July, and sitting on the boat for a ring side seat to the base fireworks.. One year a Carrier was decommed and fire works were shot off her deck...it was the most amazing spectacle I have ever witnessed, and only a handful of us got to see it.
I miss the base softball league, and having to stop in the middle of a game for evening colors. I would look at the field of players, with hats off and everyone with hands over their hearts at sunset. And how prideful I was at the sight.
I miss watching the ships leave, and knowing that duty comes first, and those guys are going out in to harms way, I would wish them "Fair Winds and Following Seas" and hope for all to have a safe return home.
I miss standing on the beach and seeing that big ship out on the horizon preparing to pull back in to port. And the emotion one feels when you see it getting closer and closer and knowing your sailor is coming back home to you.
I miss homecomings, and seeing all the guys in their dress blues and whites "manning the rails" .. You would have loved ones on the pier searching and searching until they found their sailor.
Senior always thought me silly, but I miss him in his coveralls, and the smell of the ship that was forever in the fabric of all his uniforms.
I miss writing and numbering letters, now adays keeping in touch is much easier, but back years ago, it was letter writing, we would number them, and more often then not you would get letter number 10 on one day, and then letter number 5 or 6 after that... Now with modern technology there is email...and I would laugh at the new wives who came in to my work place on base, complaining how the email was down again on the ship...lol --Oh if they only had a clue!
But what I miss most, is the Pride in Country and Service every one had...There was prestige in saying you were in the military, each division we were in was a unit and a family, we did everything together. Now, in these times and days it hurts and makes me sad to think of the things that I use to take for granted are being diminished and our militay under attack by none other then our own Government. I feel for these new guys and girls who are enlisting...because I feel they will never know the military the way I knew it to be.

The Postal Service noticed that the stamp was not sticking to envelopes.
This enraged the President, who demanded a full investigation.

Mylar bags: Not Kid Proof....
After returning from camping yesterday, I was trying to get a jump start on all the laundry, and cleaning, had to wash the Jeep, because it was filthy. Once back in side and doing all the "inside chores" which also included cooking an amazing Corn Beef Brisket with Cabbage...I realized how quiet everything in the house was...
I have learned from experience that when you have 2 boys, and everything gets quiet...something is wrong.
I was then sitting at the computer desk, researching college grant money.. If I do enroll, I am worried about the financial burden. But it is something I really want to accomplish, and I feel that in these uncertain times, and when SHTF, having a nursing degree could really come in handy. Okay, so the house is drop dead quiet, suddenly the oldest walks in, our computer room is also where we keep our food storage. I don't hear anything at first...then it happens :
Oldest: "ummm mommy" ?
Me: " Yes" ?
Oldest: "Look at these metal bags"
I look over and there to my wondering eyes...2 of our Mylar rice bags, had hundreds of pin holes in them. "What The" ??? " How in the heck did that happen"? My initial thought..was the cat...but then the Oldest gets a guilty look on his face, and then I see the thumb tack..
Me: " Did you do this" ?
Oldest: " A little, but brother did it all first"....
FYI: In our house...our Youngest is the leader- he is the one with the brass pair- he knows NO FEAR... Senior and I will have our hands full for many years to come with him.
At that precise time, Senior walks in and turns red, he yells for the youngest.... I proceeded to send the boys straight to their room, no toys, or leapster games. They were to only sit on their bed and think of what they did. They cried how sorry they were, but I had to make them understand the consequences of the action...
After the revelation hit them, they came apologizing...then asked for ice cream. All it took was Senior looking in to those big puppy eyes of theirs before he caved.... And for now, all is back right in our world...Until the house gets quiet again.... : )

Weekend Camping
We packed up our house on wheels, and headed out to spend the St. Patty's weekend camping. The weather was fantastic. The boys and I followed Senior up in the Jeep, and once at the campground we went "Topless" and rode around all weekend with the wind whipping our hair and the sun shinning down. and the trip almost enjoyable--the Gnats were awful. Didn't matter what or how much stuff you sprayed, they wouldnt leave us alone.
The best part about our weekend was we did not watch one bit of TV. No MSM, No Nothing. Our only entertainment was the kids playing and throwing rocks off a bridge, and sitting by a campfire at night watching the flames dance, Senior had his beer, and I had a few margharitas after the kids went night night.. We talked about all sorts of things, but the most important being that I am contemplating College. I want to go in to nursing.
The boys enjoyed all the wildlife they got to see. There was a rabbit family near our site. They guys have never seen wild rabbits before. Senior wished he had a snare though.... lol
One thing we did do, was to eat food soon to expire from our storage...I did not have to buy anything, except drinks. Got back early Sunday, cleaned up the portable house, and now ready for the next trip....

Can't afford Contraception...But can afford trips to Europe...
Sandra Fluke, who has become an overnight household name needs to be thrown out of this country... ( just my opinion). I have always said that the words :" To have access too" interpreted means: " I want you to pay for it"
I got the following from the Liberty News Network:
In addition to the Barcelona trip, the star crossed lovers, have been all over Europe, they have done so much traveling that her boyfriend has posted tons and tons of pics on his facebook page. If they like Europe so much, then they can just stay there.
I got the following from the Liberty News Network:
Just when you thought you’d seen everything.
Poor Sandra Fluke, the 30 year-old far left activist who wants you to pay for her $9 a month birth control, is dating a rich socialist.
They recently traveled to Spain and Italy together.
It was a lovely getaway for the women’s rights activist and her rich socialist boyfriend.

Vets angry over American flag featuring Obama
Is this the future flag of the Socialist States of America? How disgusting.....it makes me sick. It is another slap in the face to all who are active duty, and veterans of our military..... How dare the Democrats do this to our flag :
Vets angry over American flag featuring Obama
Vets angry over American flag featuring Obama
Its a Wednesday....
Whew! this week has been a bit busy, Senior and I had a large mulch job to do yesterday for a elderly client. Started out only being 4 yards, then the old man pulls us aside wanting more done behind a shed...had to go get another 2 more yards... Luckily the temp here was only about 80. One good thing about yesterday is I finally got a bread machine...I ordered it from COSTCO. And got a good deal on it.
Then Senior gets a call...his dad has been taken to the hospital in Carolina.. So Senior is on his way up there..don't have a lot of details, but so far from what we have been told it is not looking really bad. He is 80, and in really good health...So we hope and pray all will be okay.
For 2 days in a row, our oldest has lost a tooth..his two front top ones.. the poor tooth fairy is going to have to take out a loan...hopefully there won't be anymore loose ones for a while..I looked online and did you know the current rate for a loose tooth is 5.00! I was lucky to get a quarter. I think even the little fairy knows about inflation....
So, kids in school, Senior on the road..my house is quiet...my sister is on her way over to spend the day with me and hang... My parents have invited the boys and I out to dinner, they want pancakes... : ) Thank you Lord for anti-depressants...because in dealing with my mother I need them... After dinner tonight, and kids are in bed...I will go through all my favorite blogs and see what is new... Enjoy your Wednesday Everyone!
Then Senior gets a call...his dad has been taken to the hospital in Carolina.. So Senior is on his way up there..don't have a lot of details, but so far from what we have been told it is not looking really bad. He is 80, and in really good health...So we hope and pray all will be okay.

Echos of Impeachment....
I awoke this morning from the news that Senior pointed out to me late last night. It stems from statements made by Leon Panetta That he and the President need not look to the Congress for approval for actions against Syria , but instead approval from NATO and the UN.
Therefore on the heels of those outrageous comments Rep. Walter Jones, R-NC. Has introduced a resolution declaring: That should the president use offensive military force without authorization of an act of Congress, “it is the sense of Congress” that such an act would be “an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor.”
Wow! I thought, would this President be so bold as to do that? And the Answer is YES, we have to remember that he feels he can do anything. He came in to office with a super majority, and had no checks and balances. What ever he asked for he got, and felt unstoppable.
The full wording of H. Con. Res. 107, which is currently referred to the House Committee on the Judiciary, is as follows:
Expressing the sense of Congress that the use of offensive military force by a president without prior and clear authorization of an act of Congress constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution.PLEASE LOOK TO MY UPPER SIDE BAR TO VOTE ON THIS MATTER IN MY NEW POLL....
Whereas the cornerstone of the Republic is honoring Congress’s exclusive power to declare war under article I, section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution: Now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That it is the sense of Congress that, except in response to an actual or imminent attack against the territory of the United States, the use of offensive military force by a president without prior and clear authorization of an act of Congress violates Congress’s exclusive power to declare war under Article I, Section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution and therefore constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution.

Japan, One Year Later And Still.......
Scientists Baffled
What was missing in Japan?
There was
An article in the US World Report regarding the orderly behavior of the
Japanese citizens and the absence of looting after the earthquake,
Tsunami and nuclear nightmare.
Social scientists were baffled by the total non-existence of
Looting and savage behavior in Japan considering the magnitude of this
Catastrophe. They conferred with human study organizations as well as sociology
Experts throughout the United States . Finally, after days and days of studies
And meetings, they came to a conclusion.

Seniors Healthy Eating Rebellion
He has gone mad! Senior has absolutely had it with everything having to deal with Michelle O's "Lets Move" initiative.
Like most of us he is up to his eyebrows in the governments ever growing intrusements in our daily lives, and now with our eating habits....

So, it came as no surprise to me when late last night the corked popped off of his proverbial champagne bottle and he got the late night Munchies.
So here is an "UP YOURS" toast to the entire LETS MOVE organization..especially its Founder....

Man Puts Transmitter Under Wifes Bed
I think this is the new electronic anti-cheating device... And I have to throw this out there, but does anyone else find it hystercially funny that this story comes from the " Beaver County Times" Newspaper" ?

Solar Storm and others things... : )
This "Blankety" solar storm that is hitting the earth has been messing with everything electrical in my house...has it been that way for any of you?
First its been my laptop, my good ole trusty Dell...the screen has been flickering. Then our AC Unit..for no reason just stopped, but then suddenly came back on. The garage door yesterday was 1/4 way up and stopped. I kept pressing and pressing the button..then it finally went up the whole way.
To top it all off, I washed my Jeep, aka "Bulkhead" was a dirty boy. he must have been covered with an inch of pollen. As soon as I am done washing and drying him...what do you think it does? .... RAIN!
Then the "cou de gra" of my day came when I stepped out of the shower, and the school calls...apparantly our oldest has Pink Eye... I get up there to take him and the youngest home, and then to the doctor, and thankfully its not pink eye..just allergies from all the pollen.
Their behavior in the doctors office was driving me nuts....The doctor had a basket of toys, and our oldest decided to take off the barbi dolls clothes so he can see what her boobs looked like... OMG! Are you serious??????
I know I am thankfull it wasnt the "Ken" doll. Then our youngest..if he pee'd once he pee'd 5 times while waiting! Then we get home and its bath time thus started the whinning and bickering between them... Our youngest with an angelic face and big eyes says to me " Mom, its okay, count to ten and just BREATH......"
My two boys literally drove me to drink..I picked up a 6 pack of Smirnoff Ice's. the really good "strawberry acai". came home and sucked one down...
So , now I know..its TGIF ! and hopefully this solar storm will end..but wait! what is next for earth? An Asteriod in 2013 is predicted to come withen 16,000 of our planet...Holy Crap thats close! I will worry about that one tomorrow, and tonight sit by a fire and pop a top on a cold one.....

Not PC to chant "U.S.A"
When a school and students are criticized in this country for chanting "U.S.A" it is a very sad day for America. I was appalled to hear of this such incident occuring after a high school basketball game in San Antonio, TX.
The Alamo Heights team who is pretty much caucasion, beat the predominantly hispanic San Antonio Edison High School team. The San Antonio school district took the chant as a racial insult. They also went on to say that it was dissappointing to hear anyone make 'Those Kinds of Remarks" ....
Now, the Alamo school district has apologized, the basketball coach apologized, the students are having to personally apologize, and those involved that have been identified are banned from going to the State Title Game... All because they chanted USA, USA, USA.
Is it not enough that we have a President who constantly apologizes to the world , now its Not PC to chant USA ? on American Soil? What about during the Olympics? I guess we should just write out a standard apology letter now so we can cover all our bases.
So, I trust that every time Latin Americans, Latinos, or just plain illegal Mexicans demonstrate in the U.S. waving Mexican flags, leaders of those communities will likewise apologize for the racial nature of those demonstrations?
If the high school basketball game had gone the other way, and the San Antonio team had started shouting "Viva La Mexico" would there have been the same outcry of racism? Would their school system been appalled by the actions, and apologized? Sorry, but I think not...

Free Stuff....
I have never heard this said as simply or as well. Class war at its best:
The folks who are getting the free stuff don't like the folks who are paying for the free stuff, because the folks who are paying for the free stuff can no longer afford to pay for both the free stuff and their own stuff.
And, the folks who are paying for the free stuff want the free stuff to stop.
And the folks who are getting the free stuff want even more free stuff on top of the free stuff they are already getting!
Now... the people who are forcing the people who pay for the free stuff have told the people who are RECEIVING the free stuff that the people who are PAYING for the free stuff are being mean, prejudiced, and racist.
So... the people who are GETTING the free stuff have been convinced they need to hate the people who are paying for the free stuff by the people who are forcing some people to pay for their free stuff and giving them the free stuff in the first place.
We have let the free stuff giving go on for so long that there are now more people getting free stuff than paying for the free stuff.
Now understand this. All great democracies have committed financial suicide somewhere between 200 and 250 years after being founded. The reason?
The voters figured out they could vote themselves money from the treasury by electing people who promised to give them money from the treasury in exchange for electing them.
The United States officially became a Republic in 1776, 231 years ago. The number of people now getting free stuff outnumbers the people paying for the free stuff. We have one chance to change that in 2012.
ELECTION 2012 IS COMING
A Nation of Sheep Breeds a Government of Wolves!

Cleaning the Ruger....Literally!
Yes we love firearms so much, we named our dog RUGER....Today he was so dirty..and smelly, but was perfectly happy, until I rocked his world and forced him off the couch for a bath....Poor Ruger. He is the 80# Boxer that thinks he is a little chihuahua..he has no idea just how big and clumsy he is.
I pushed and pushed until I got him in the water:
I pushed and pushed until I got him in the water:
"Scrub a dub dub..Rugers in the tub"
| "somebody please save me from this crazy woman" ! |
All Clean!
Next up for our big boy...Nail Trim...SHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Super Tuesday...Get out and VOTE
Okay its Super Tuesday... If you live in one of the 10 states involved then get out and vote. We have so much at stake for this election. And the biggest thing is to make Obama a One Term President.
What I see is you have two choices here... If you wish to continue on the same path our country is on, big government, higher taxes, a decline in the middle class, an entitlement rich culture, and high gas prices then keep BO in the White House.
Or, create a revolution in the voters box and help take our country back, send a message out to every politician that our voices can not be silenced and we the people will be heard. Tell them we are sick of what they are doing to this country and to our Constitution and fire them all.
Whether your support is for any of the four republicans, or Mickey Mouse..I don't care...All I care about is taking back our country and getting that Marxist out of office. Because if re-elected, he is first going to start with the Second Amendment, and imagine what he will do if the Dems get back the House...I shutter at the thought and I hope you do too, its too important not to.

Hare Krishnas Love Monster Jam Too....
The last people in the world I ever expected to see outside of a Monster Truck Jam, would be Hare Krishnas. I didn't think these guys were even around any more. Usually seen at airports giving out roses and literature...up they show at the stadium. I guess they too like the roaring sound and power of the big trucks... What was even more fun was watching drunk rednecks dancing with them....
Also seen was this guy wearing the newest in Anti-Obama Tshirts:

Cleaning the PPS-43C
Senior finally took the new baby out to shoot. He loved it, says it has very little recoil. So of course I can't wait to have my turn at it when the kids are in school and I can enjoy a nice quiet range day.
I Told Senior a fellow blogger "Odysseus" was interested in the ease of field stripping it...so here is a few pics..
As you see it breaks down very easy. The upper receiver flips up after the push button latch is pressed. You then pull the bolt assembly group to the rear and with a down ward motion, it will slide right out. And that is it-- so easy a caveman could do it!
Definantly NOT Mother of the Year.....
This story has been on our local news all weekend. I don't need to have kids for it to sicken me. But since I do have kids I look at them and think "How could she" ? There is a so-called mother of a 6 year old little girl, who thought drugs were more important then her child, so she used the little girl and prostituted her out in exchange for her drugs... Can it get more disgusting then that? How can you be so messed up and so far gone on drugs that your only alternative for a fix, is to prostitute out your baby?
Just because you give birth to a child does not make you a mother. Our babies are ours but for a short time, they are a gift. What we do with them in that short time is our responsibility. When little girls are supposed to be helping mommy cook, playing with barbie dolls, and dressing up, this little one was having to endure pain and suffering at the hands of her mother and strange men. Most likely she has been permanently damaged and may never have children of her own. I can not imagine the shear horror she went through, no child should EVER have to face that.
Thinking about it brings out anger, and tears, even now while writing this, my emotion started to swell up and I had to walk away and take a break. I wish there was a way to reach out to her, and offer a safe place, to soothe her nightmares. To comb her hair and dress her up like little girls deserve. How could the mother think that drugs were worth the damage she has caused. This little one is now in the custody of family members and safe..I beg to ask the question "Where was the family before" ? How could they not see the mother was a crack addict.
My wish for this little angel, who was so abused at the hands of her mother all in the name of drugs, is that she will recover physically, the mental and emotional part will take a long time. I pray she is put in to an environment of nurturing and love, and that when she grows up she will not become what her mother is.
As for the mother, its my wish that she be taken to the farthest reaches of a swamp, strapped to a tree, where no one can hear her screams....

Patriotic Books for Kids, and Saturday Tidbits..
Another morning of hot coffee, and me browsing the net. I read the headlines, and pray for friends and family in those states hit by the tornados. I do believe this spring weather is going to be violent.
So it led me to read the small print stories, and I came across one of A company called "Cherry Tree Publications".. So, as a parent, trying to teach our kids of our great country, I noticed right off the bat they publish patriotic childrens books. They are an E-Book company, and if your kids are like mine they are always wanting to play on my phone or Tablet, Cherry Tree is filling a big gap, and have tapped in to a bookworms gold mine. The founder of the company said :"I just felt that some parents would want stories that show strong themes of morality and patriotism.". Awesome !
With such titles as : " Special Hops- the good, the bad, and the cuddly" or "Tex the T-Rex" how can you go wrong?
Here is a link to their site for more information http://www.cherrytreechildren.com/
Now its on to enjoy our weekend. Tonight is a redneck right of passage...taking the boys to the land of sleevless shirts, and Mullets, yes its The Monster Truck Jam...can't wait!. A good friend got us some up close tickets, and its suppose to rain. YIPPPPEEEE that means lots of Mud!
So Enoy your Saturday, I know we will!

I am Saddend
I am sad today at the sudden passing of Andrew Breitbart. He was a great conservative journalist that loved his country and family. He stayed true to himself and to his beliefs and never caved in to the pressures of the mainstream media or to the liberals. He founded several different conservative websites, and was the original "behind the scene" guy on the Drudge Report. A guest caller on the Neil Boortz show said it best this morning: " It is like a Super Nova has just occured within the conservative movement"
I pray for his family and friends....RIP Andrew.. You will be greatly missed.....
" I love my job. I love fighting for what I believe in. I love having fun while doing it. I love reporting stories that the Complex refuses to report. I love fighting back, I love finding allies, and—famously—I enjoy making enemies.
Three years ago, I was mostly a behind-the-scenes guy who linked to stuff on a very popular website. I always wondered what it would be like to enter the public realm to fight for what I believe in. I’ve lost friends, perhaps dozens. But I’ve gained hundreds, thousands—who knows?—of allies. At the end of the day, I can look at myself in the mirror, and I sleep very well at night." - Andrew Breitbart
