And The Sun Shines Through
Yesterday after we got the boys from school, we went and ran errands. While walking through a store, other shoppers seemed as depressed as I was. There was that look of let down on every ones faces. Our particular county went over the top for Romney..in fact Romney had more votes here then McCain did in 08. And we went Red in 08 as well.
A good friend over on Facecrook had the above picture on her wall this morning. As soon as I looked at it, it spoke to me in ways more then any one could realize
It goes along with a Winston Churchill quote :
"Success is not Final
Failure is not Fatal;
It is the Courage to Continue That Counts"
As I looked upon this picture, I saw the dark clouds..lets face it our Country is in extreme darkness, and those clouds represent that. But the sun breaks them apart and finds a way to shine through.
That is the courage to continue that Churchill speaks of. Through success or failure, it is the courage to keep going that is what really counts. And I know we as Patriotic, hardworking Americans can have the courage to continue and to keep going forward.
I don't know a lot of things..I am not the smartest person, or probably the most prolific writer out there. Sometimes my thoughts get ahead of my typing and most times I feel like nothing I say on here makes any sense at all.
But what I do know is I have a family and two little boys that depend on Senior and I and I need that courage for them. They are the future..and I must have the courage to fight as hard as I can to secure them the best future possible.

Distressed
I know life goes on. It is what is and nothing can change that. However I am saddened by the outcome. We have to keep up the fight for our Country. She is in distress. She needs us now more then ever.
Every election has consequences..today across this country the unemployment rate is about to go up. Why? Because of the Obamacare mandates. If you have more then 50 employees..you are screwed.
people will lose their jobs, or have to have hours cut back to avoid the harsh burden on small businesses.
I truly hope the unemployment rate jumps to 30 %. They voted for it..let them deal with it. Then in January the even higher tax burdens then what we have now. The ignorant voters that choose this know not what they have done.
The day here is actually cold and windy. But at least the sun is out. I can see the shadow of the flag in our front yard waving in the wind across the grass.. I am still hopeful for our Country. Thin gs will go on, daily life will continue. The prepping though will be amped up. Finding a way to get out and purchase acreage. Becoming as self reliant as possible is on our agenda.
I suggest you all do the same if you haven't all ready.

ELECTION DAY
Its finally here, The 2012 Presidential Election Day. Where has the last four years gone? Senior and I did our duty and voted. We live in s quasi-small town. No lines, and No black panthers to intimidate
voters. It all went smoothly.
Today is the day we decide what kind of country we are going to give our kids and grandkids. This is the most important election of our lifetime -- and every vote counts!!!! And if you don't get out and vote, then you have no right to complain. Its hard to think of it now, but when we wake up tomorrow our country will have gone one of two ways..We will either be celebrating a new President elect who has created jobs, and does know how to turn things around, and one that truly loves The United States or we will be crying in our coffee over another four more years of the Obama regime, the same poor economy, millions upon millions on welfare that we the hard working people are paying for, and a man that does not love The United States.
It is all up to Us..."We the People" we have a fundamental decision to make...which road do you want to take? What kind of morning do you want tomorrow?
let me leave you with these words of wisdom from me JUGM :
"when it comes to pinning blame, pin the tail on the donkeys".

Political Conversation with a 7 Year Old
ND still being sick with a bit of bronchitis stayed home another day. He is doing much better and I feel confident that he is okay to go to school tomorrow. He stayed home with Senior so I could go pick up NW.
On the way home we stopped by a gas station so I could pick up our local paper to see if any of the Paul Ryan event pictures the photographer took of the kids made it in the current edition. While there were pics, none were of the kids, I was told the paper was stretching it out over three editions and to keep checking...
NW was holding the paper in the back seat looking at the pictures of Mr. Ryan.
"momma"? he asked
"yes baby" ?
" It says Paul Ryan is a Vice Presidential Candidate"
"Yes I know"
"Whats a Candidate" ?
"Someone who is running for office of some sort,he is called a candidate because we, the people get to choose which candidate we want for President and Vice President"
"Oh, and you get to do that Tuesday" ?
"Yep! "
" I don't like Obama" he said.
"Okay, why don't you like Obama"?
"Because he says its okay for women not to have their babies"
"Where did you hear that" ?
"Off a commercial"
"wow...yes he and lots of other people do support that"
"well, what if his mom had decided not to have him, why is it that people can support something bad are the ones that have not had it done to themselves? "
"Holy cow ! you are getting smart...what a good question"
And as I drove on home, I did think more on it...What a tough question by a 7 year old....

Our Area Had A Visitor...
First let me say to all our friends and family in the Mid-Atlantic and up to the Northeast...Thoughts and prayers are with you all tonight as you endure this hurricane. Stay safe....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After our garage sale on Saturday I found out from the boys former kindergarten teacher that Congressman Ryan would be making a campaign stop in our area today. I was "over the moon" excited, this was huge news for our area, no one famous ever comes here and I did not want to miss the opportunity.
Senior said I could keep the boys out of school, so they could attend. I wanted them to see Mr. Ryan and be a witness to some local history. I was happy and proud to pull the boys out of school today because not only does this affect my generation, but theirs as well....
We went through the gates around 11:45, Ryan was not due to speak until 2pm. But we went with friends and they boys had another little girl to play and chase around. I was pretty proud of both boys, they sat on a blanket and for having to wait 2 hours, they behaved very well.
Some one snuck signs in and the kids got a photo op:
He first spoke about the hurricane, and concern for the folks up north. The campaign is dispatching buses to be loaded with relief supplies, and sending them in to the hard hit areas after the danger has passed. He also spoke about our local military and the impact it has. He looked across the crowd, and you felt like he was talking directly to you. He acknowledged all the children there with parents, and reminded us how the current administration is leaving them this mountain of debt. The message he spoke resonated with all of us in attendance. At the end, our applaud was loud and thunderous.
After listening to several local politicans, it was finally time for the Congressman to come out on stage :
I have been very fortuante over the years to get to see in person our elected officials, in 1988 as a high school senior I got to see Ronald Reagan, then in 2003 George W. Bush came to one of the military bases and spoke. And now today, I can say and so can my children that we got to see Paul Ryan the next Vice President.
Obama Supporters Threaten Riots
Disclaimer: I do try to not get overly political on my blog. However, this story is being ignored by the mainstream media, and I feel it should get out there and people made aware. if you do not like my post on the subject then simply click off it.
I wanted to put this story on my blog this morning because these comments do concern me. I am worried about friends, and family who live in and around the large cities. Twitter has been lighting up recently with comments on attempts of Romney's life should he win the election. Again, more of the same from the typical Obama supporter. If you don't believe me, then read the article, take notice of the language and grammar and look at who is doing the tweets:
Obama Supporters Continue Romney Threats
I believe that there are two types of Democrats. There is first, the kind making the threats on twitter. Promising violence if their guy does not win, I want a hand out, gimme a free phone, house, and gas type.
Then there is the second- Which is what we have in our neighborhood- Global warming, alfalfa sprout eating, Whole Food Store shopping, anti-gun and tree hugger, lets save a spider, but screw paying 3.50 for a gallon of gas type.
Since we have this second category in our community, I am not overly worried about us here should Romney win. I am more worried about those of you out in the more populous areas. People like my parents, who are elderly, and lived in the same house for over 55 years. The neighborhood once a good place to raise kids. Now its infested with high crime and blight. Should SHTF, my parents are a perfect target.
I do know and understand this is very heated election. Probably the most important election in history. And in any election, there will be a loser and his supporters will be upset. But to riot? What level of intelligence is that?
Many in our neighborhood have signs in their yards, we have elected not to should any acts of vandalism occur. If these threats ring true, then those with a Romney sign will indeed become a target. So, I am encouraging you all on election night, to be alert and vigilant. Stay inside if you can, keep blinds closed, a shotgun, and battle rifle by the door-It wouldn't hurt just in case.
Cool Mornings, and Warm Afternoons
We have had a cold snap. Jack Frost has blown his cool breath across the area and its been in the 50s here in the mornings.. for us that is BRRRRRRR Cold.
But it has warmed up to become a beautiful fall day. The pumpkins are out in massive droves. Halloween is around the corner. I must get on to SENIOR about getting my Halloween items down from the attic.
The baby fish are growing, you can now make out their little eyes and tails. We only have 5 of them left. So I hope they make it.
The other day the boys ran in yelling for me to go out back with them, a butterfly was laying in the grass. Very beautiful one in deed. Not sure if its a Monarch or not. ND is an aspiring entomologist. I mean what boy isn't.? If there is a bug within a five mile radius of our house, he will find it. When Seniors mom passed we found a book with pictures of every possible insect in the world. He likes to carry it around and draw them. So, when he say this butterfly in the yard, he went completely nuts, and hoping it wasn't dying. Explaining nature to a 6 year old is really hard.
A new antique shop has opened in town, I must see if one day Stephens Sweet Wife would like to come up and go off antiquing with me. I am in need of more old canning jars....okay, so its not really a need. Oh gosh, I can see Seniors eyes rolling at me!
Finally almost done with the baby album I have been working on, only three more pages to go and I can gift it to my friend. She use to be NW and NDs Preschool teacher, so I let the boys pick out a month to design, they chose March and April.
Got to ride around the community yesterday with our assistant community manager person. She does the inspections for the Homeowners Association. I was her little secretary writing down all the addresses she is sending violation letters to. Well, the political signs are actually getting out of hand around here. People are acting like its a competition of who can have the most signs in their yards.So, she had to send out an email to all residents about it, plus mailing a letter. It is a violation to have any sign other then a "For Sale" sign up. So, I am sure there will be some ticked off people around here.
The VP debate tonight! This will give the American people a good chance to look at Paul Ryan and get to know him. I hope he does well against Biden....
Welp, its time to go get boys from school...can't wait to hear about their adventures.
?
One of our many Obama supporting neighbors, placed their childrens dry erase board next to their yard sign. While you can't see it on the board, what is written is :
1+1=5
I honestly don't get it. Is the board Obamas teleprompter? Or is BO going to try to school Romney on Economics? I hope some of my followers can help me make sense of what significance the board has in relation to the President.
Garden and A Debate
Was in the backyard with Ruger and thought I would snap a few pictures to share with you guys. Remember previously I said i started planting roses?
Well, here is a good shot of the "Gold Medal Rose" I put in.. Looks like that rose food I bought is paying off, the blooms have been spectacular.
And finally got the long awaited Bi-Colored Rose...
The small carrots I planted are growing along nicely in the boxes... should not be long now until we are snacking on them.
And you can't live in the South, and not plant Collard Greens....another staple in my house that we freeze and eat off of for the entire year.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now to the good stuff,;Last nights Debate.. I went to bed last night with a renewed energy..Mitt Romney had a home run. You could certainly tell who was the more prepared and the more presidential of the two.
Obama was a stuttering embarrassment without his teleprompter and Mitt seized the moment.
Afterwards I am sure the President went back stage and smoked an entire carton of Newport's. I guess that is what happens when you have John Kerry of all people as your debate coach.
Mitt delivered many memorable lines, but none better then : "Mr. President, you are entitled to your own airplane, your own house as president, but not to your own facts." What a zinger!.
I hope that the independents and those of you who are still undecided watched last night, and that it helped make up your mind.
Tune in next week, when it is Ryan vs Biden..That is the steel cage death match I have been waiting for.

UPDATE ON THE BABY FRYE:
I put most of the new babies in a holding pen, well that did not work out as well as I thought Because they did not make it : ( So, I have decided to let nature take its course with the remaining 11 that are still in the tank with mom and dad. They are now a week old and doing okay.
Yesterday ND and I were looking in to the tank, and did not see them, then along comes dad and spits them out...I forget that Cichlids will carry the babies in their mouths. It was another aspect of nature I have never seen. It is amazing watching these wonderful parents and the lengths they are going to in order to protect their young.
I know this is not a very good picture, but that is one in front of the white rock. They dart around so fast , that its hard to get a good shot.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
First presidential debate is tomorrow night, to say that I am worried over this election would be an understatement, I am terrified of 4 more years. I hope Romney comes out swinging, and hammers BO. Please, if you are one of the undecided, then please watch..maybe it will help you make up your mind. We live in a community with a HOA, we were told at the last meeting that no one is allowed to put up political signs, and those who have all ready done so will get sent a letter and told to take them down. I was happy to hear this because I know how it would tick off all the BO supporters around here.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Got chores to do around the house today, would have liked to hang clothes out to dry, but mother nature had other plans, more rain off and on today for us. A front is suppose to stall out..just what we need! more rain..in addition to the over 70 inches we have had this summer. Wish I could send it to those folks who really need it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've been dealing with a headache for nearly two days now, I think it is my eyes. I am putting off the inevitable and must get them checked. It has been a while since the last time I went to a eye doctor and even then he told me to start using a pair of reading glasses..which I pretty much ignored.
You know, it really sucks getting old... : (
Interview with the Typical Obama Supporter
Howard Stern show contributers took the streets of Harlem, NY to find and interview Obama supporters.
Some confused individuals thought it was still 2008 and McCain was running. Others had no clue Osama Bin Laden was dead. and Many thought Ryan was Obamas running mate...
Well worth watching, and good for a laugh....
A big welcome to my clothesline goes out to ROB and MISTY. Thank you for thinking enough of my little blog to hit the follower button. I hope you stop by and visit often.Leave a comment, and I will try my best to respond in a timely manner.
My friend Matt, has decided to take a break. he was one of my first followers, I always enjoyed his insight in to whatever I had posted, and will miss him. I hope he won't be gone for long and will pop in from time to time and say HELLO. Take Care Buddy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This morning, I am insighted over the whole new Obama sticker showing what many are calling the "Blood Flag". It disturbs me to know that so many have fought and died for our country and the current Admin makes a mockery of Old Glory... When will enough be enough?
The first debate is in a little less then two weeks. and the VP debate is October 11th. I am looking forward to these as BO won't be able to use his trusty teleprompter..should be quite good.
Ive sat here now writing this and my bowl of raisin bran is empty. So now I must change out of work out clothes, and help Senior with some stuff our community that we have the contract for. I hope you all have a good day. : )

Common Sense
The only problem is, they'll force the "pullers" to pull 35% more to make up for the free loaders packing on more weight. We go out bust our butts working, while my free loading neighbor with his OBAMA signs in the front yard, collects his entitlements.
So let me just go over to his house on a weekly basis and redistribute our paycheck to him so his wife can use it to buy her sushi at the grocery store.

Caption The Picture # 1
This is something new I am starting on my blog, a weekly picture where you, my followers and readers make up your own caption. Be as creative as you want.
My first picture is courtesy of Ole Joe Biden himself with a biker babe sitting in front of him..so take a look, and have fun with it. I can't wait to read what you all will come up with.

Presidential visit part 2
The Young Republicans organized a protest outside of the venue where POTUS spoke today and had some really good signs.
BO pretty much spewed the same lines that made all the welfare recipients cheer. What was not said on the news was that he was in a much smaller venue then in 2008.
During the 2008 campaign visit, he packed a 8,000 +seat auditorium. and yes that was the infamous visit where the lady assumed that Obama would buy her gas and pay her mortgage.
Today, only about 3,000 were in attendance- so yes his numbers are down.
This was one of the more colorful pics of the event, and my personal favorite:

The Presidential Visit..
Our Illustrious leader has decided to come to town to campaign. There are lines of his followers-those souls who do not care of his policies, or the direction he is leading our country towards. They do not care that he is the worse President in History..All they care about is that he gives them freebies and he is black. They waited in line since Monday to grab a free ticket so they may catch a glimpse of their leader.
One news station asked If people would wait to see him..I commented that " I waited to see Reagan..but not this President". We do have better things to do, Once Senior is done for the day we plan on checking out a new little splash park. Maybe even grab a burger on the way home..I could go for a good cheeseburger today...
The weather has turned perfect for the Presidential event..a strong line of storms has made its way through, soaking all those waiting. Yes that is a smile you see on my face.. : ) All I can say is that Mother Nature must hate Obama too! Wow ! it is really pouring now.. "Welcome to the Sunshine State Mr. President" !!!!
Small Business Protesters are out braving the elements as well, I wish I had more notice so I could have joined them. After he insulted us they way he did, I would have loved to have stood there with a poster of my own. So here is the welcome he will receive as his motorcade pulls in.... : )

Yippie...Obama "Came Out"....
We should all feel so warm and fuzzy inside, POTUS made history with his "Coming Out" statement. To celebrate he stayed at George Cloonys estate in California and netted over 15 million in donations.Yes liberal Hollywood and the likes of Ellen DeGeneres are all thrilled....
But wait..let us rewind and remind: The only reason he came out in support of gay marriage is because of Bidens big mouth. Bloomberg reports that the White House was incredibly upset with the comments made by the VP as it forced POTUS to "come out of the closet" earlier then he had hoped. In other words, I think he was waiting until closer to the election. So, prior to BOs statement, the VP offered up an apology. I would have loved to have been a fly on that wall!
Lets face it, one of the biggest embarrassments to this admin is Biden. He has diarrhea of the mouth and constipation of the brain. It seems like BO is always trying to clarify everything that the VP says. the thought has been circling inside of my head for months. And this week it has hit me and a light bulb went off while outside hanging laundry.
I have played the scenario over and over:
That somehow, they are going to work it so Biden steps down and will not be on the ticket. The reason will most likely be an excuse of his health..And who do you think they will bring in? none other then Hillary. Why Hillary?, because BO knows she can help bring in the female vote. The only problem is, Biden actually connects well with the blue collar voter, he speaks on their level, he does not act superior or smug while talking to them, he puts things in "lay-mans" terms- and all those big belly, beer drinking workers...actually relate to him. And that is what is needed if BO is intending to win in those important battle ground states such as Ohio and Pennsylvania. But mark my words and remember I said it on May 11th 2012...they are going to try to have Joe off the ticket...
I can't wait to see what all unfolds these next few months. If Biden stays on the ticket, then Romney needs to pick one heck of a GOP candidate that can embarass the heck out of Biden in a debate.. ( Rubio, Jindal, or Christie) .
So now for the entertainment of all my readers...here are Joes top 5 Gaffs:
5. "Look, John's last-minute economic plan does nothing to tackle the number-one job facing the middle class, and it happens to be, as Barack says, a three-letter word: jobs. J-O-B-S, jobs." --Joe Biden
4. "A man I'm proud to call my friend. A man who will be the next President of the United States -- Barack America!" --Joe Biden, at his first campaign rally with Barack Obama
3. "When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened." -Joe Biden, apparently unaware that FDR wasn't president when the stock market crashed in 1929 and that only experimental TV sets were in use at that time
2. "Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be vice president of the United States of America. Quite frankly, it might have been a better pick than me." --Joe Biden, speaking at a town hall meeting in Nashua, New Hampshire
1. "Stand up, Chuck, let 'em see ya." --Joe Biden, to Missouri state Sen. Chuck Graham, who is in a wheelchair, Columbia, Missouri, Sept. 12, 2008
And an extra bonus, something he said just the other day:
He called Mitt “President Romney.” But as if that wasn’t embarrassing enough, he couldn‘t seem to keep his own boss’s name straight: he also referred to Barack Obama as “President Clinton.”
