HealthCare Update ..And Other things..

Basically "It is what It Is" and we have to deal with it. Our local tricare office under no circumstance's will allow us to go to a civilian Orthopedic Doctor.
So now I am calling the specialties clinic every day, to see if we can get Senior an earlier appointment then Mid- December. Today he is taking MAMA BEARS advice and picking up some of that Blue-Emu sore pain rub.  I hope that helps him a bit.

So please" "fingers crossed" and lots of prayers for us.

Two kids, two different schools...two days of Thanksgiving Luncheons. Which I thought both were on the same day so therefore I missed one of the luncheons. Little ND got in the car with tears in his eyes because his mommy and daddy were not at the luncheon.
OMG---"Was that today? I thought it was tomorrow the same day as your brothers" ?
"Nooooooo !!!!   Every other parent was there"
" Oh holy cow! "
Now I am the worst mother in the world!

This is what happens when schools don't keep proper communication with parents. I was not the only one thinking both lunches were on the same day.

So, Today Senior and I are making it up to him, we are bringing him lunch at school....   : )

Another community wide garage sale is tomorrow. I am going through every thing. And what does not get sold, gets donated !   I do and don't like garage sales, the economic times trickles down and people want you to just give your stuff away.  It does get frustrating....
We are doing something different with the boys though, we are letting them take charge of what they want to sale and they can keep the money they make.
And kids are funny because now that  I am putting stuff in a staging area, it suddenly becomes important..even though it has not been played with for a year.

Now I must get back to going through closets, and cleaning out toy boxes...  Even Senior is going through his stuff.....

Happy Friday All!

  2. JUGM,
I'm amazed with what you're having to deal with regarding surgery for Senior. My husband was approved with a civilian doctor for his first surgery, and for his next surgery on Tuesday. I'm wondering if they sent us to a civilian doctor because of where we live here in Oklahoma. There's not very many options here.

Ut Oh........little ND wasn't happy. Can you make it up to him by going to lunch at school on Monday (bring him a lunch and sit with him, make it his own special lunch)?

Good luck with the community yard sale :-)
I hope the boys have a blast and enjoy making money.

  3. Sweet Sandy,

that is why Bulldog Man can go to a Civ. Dr. You probably do not have a military facility close to you.
Ours is over 30 miles away, that did not matter..they still will only allow him to be seen at it.

Yes, we are making it up to ND, actually taking him lunch today and eating with him in his cafeteria....

  4. One year I went to a Christmas program 5 minutes late and missed my daughters performance so I didn't watch the rest of it and after they had their parties. I went and did some last minute Christmas shopping. When I picked my little one up after school, my name was MUD! She was sooo mad at me. I felt bad and so I go to all functions and parties now. Having lunch with him today shows him you care, they love that!
Hope Senior gets an earlier appointment and some relief from the blue gel ☺

    1. So we met him for lunch, and as I am friends with his teacher I was telling her about his behavior over the ordeal...and she said "really, i would not have guessed he was upset, he acted like he did not care if you were there or not."

      KIDS!

Plus I am also chaperoneing a field trip Tuesday... But it is cool cause it is to a farm- so that can't be bad. at least I am not stuck going to some museum.
      lol

I hope Senior gets some relief as well, he woke in quite a bit of pain this morning.

  6. Hope Senior gets some relief from the Blue stuff. It works wonders for us here. I bet the little one was excited to have you for lunch even though he probably had to act all macho in front of his friends!

  7. Every parent has something like that to remember. Your son won't remember it but you will forever. Being a parent is the hardest job I ever had. Sometimes I think it still is.

  8. I'm sure by now your son has forgiven you for not being at the Thanksgiving luncheon. Hopeful next year the communication from the school will be more effective. Hope you can also get a quicker appointment for your husband.

I'm with you about garage sales. I won't probably ever have another one primarily for the reason you mentioned; people try to get the item at such a low price, its almost better just to donate it to Goodwill than deal with the hassle of having a sale. But good for the kids to have a chance to really figure if they are ready to part with something and then benefit from the sale.

    betty
