The Waiting Game...

There was a recall ordered for my car. Something about the door panels, and a potential safety hazard. So I made the appointment for bright and early this morning. And then I was told the work would take three hours, and that specific recall did not warrant a loaner car.  grrrrr

I brought my tablet to play games on, sat down and the waiting game began.
Okay, I could have taken the courtesy shuttle some where, but where is there to go at 8:15am? Then I would have to wait for them to pick me back up. So, I chose to stay at the dealership. Chairs were comfy, they had snack and drink machines, hot coffee, and free Wi-Fi. It couldn't be all that bad.

In my three hours, I saw elderly people, young people, really people of all walks of life. They were in and out, I literally out lasted them all.
A mother who did not know how to discipline her two year old son, let him play on her cell phone, and run around crazy.-Mine never did that.
I got quasi indoctrinated by the endless  cycle of CNN, over and over and over, the same stories..
Rush Limbaugh was right, the MSM will focus on the Illinois tornadoes and get the public off Obamacare. 
But then the next story was of the woman who Obama highlighted as a Obamacare success, only to find out she really was not a success.

CNN also reported that today is the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address, and why is Obama not attending when he touted himself to be just like Lincoln...  well they did report he is part of the growing community that wants all citizens to memorize the Gettysburg Address
I think it is more important that we learn the Pledge of Allegiance first and keep it in schools.

They showed the serial killer who shot Larry Flynn the Penthouse Magazine publisher, and how the guy is scheduled to die. Good! Another person that the tax payers no longer have to pay for. But Ole Larry feels sorry for him and does not believe in the death penalty so he is petitioning the CA Governor to halt the execution.

Then the stories played all over again-That is why I Like Fox News, they don't do that.

Finally after my three hour wait "Ma'am your car is ready, but it looks like you will need a new battery"
"well how much is it" ?
" $123.00"
" ummm I will pass my husband can take care of it"

I know how dealerships work, they get you coming and going.  I paid, was up and outta that place. Stopped and got lunch for Senior and I.

Broken Eagle

As I dusted the table tops this morning, my blog post for today became apparent. Our American Eagle's wing was broken. Not sure how it happened, or when. But as soon as I moved it to dust, the thing just fell off.
It Made me think of the countries current situation. Like that ceramic wing, America is broken. Much of the government is shut down, and we are about to extend our debt ceiling once again. We have no money, and owe China our backsides.
 I feel we are so far gone that the only thing to turn us around is a total economic collapse. Maybe some folks need that. Perhaps suddenly being launched  100-200 years into the past is what is needed.

Those who voted for this, Those who even did it twice. I compare them to the loyalist who sided with King George during the Revolutionary War. The loyalist were promised gold, and land if they took up arms against their own countrymen and fought for the crown.
Today it is the voice of a benevolent dictator, and the promise of free cell phones, free health care, free housing, and free money that keeps his loyalist loyal. If he asked them to take up arms against those who oppose him, I have no doubt they would.

With a little super glue I fixed the eagles wing. Aw if it were all only that simple...
She looks like nothing happend, she looks better, but underneath she is left more fragile then before. Her wing forever compromised. Another drop, or being mishandled, and she will once again be broken........

Despite Popular Belief...

The sky DID NOT fall this morning. ( as predicted by the Liberals )

The sun still rose.
The kids still got up for school.
I still stumbled my way to the kitchen to start coffee and let the dogs out.
The puppy is still chasing the cat around the house, and barking at every leaf that falls from a tree.
Traffic was still out on the roads.
People were still going to work.
The tire store opened sharply at 0800 and actually waited on me.
Senior is out mowing grass
And, there is still a baseball game scheduled for tonight.. 
Heck! We might even order some concession stand food to celebrate!

And the one thing that was predicted has actually happend:  The obamacare website has crashed.

Its a wonderful feeling knowing that it is the working class people of this country that keeps America running and not politicians.

PS: I will add one more thing : I am happy that the Republicans have seemingly stood their ground and not caved in. (yet)

Obamacare-ASaurus

 You never really see the  horrible effects of something until you can talk to those folks who deal with it all every day.

This morning, I had a doctor’s appointment to discuss some of my meds.
Last Wednesday was my yearly “lady appointment” I explained to my doctor what my wishes were.
She told me I would need to make a separate appointment to discuss the matter. I kind of left out of there scratching my head as this had never been said to me before. But, I listened and did what she asked.

Which led me to this morning, I was talking to her nurse, who was asking me all the same questions they did last week. I asked "Why was I having to come back just for this"?

In a short and unhappy way she said “ObamaCare” and shook her head.

The mere mention of that dreaded money eating, democrat dinosaur monster, burden on the American people brought shivers to me.

She went on to explain “See ,we can no longer see a patient for more then two problems at a time, Insurances won’t allow it anymore, and then there is the whole new coding issue, if we code something wrong then it won’t get paid, and a bill is sent directly to the patient. Then the patient calls us irate”.

I just stared at her and listened further “Mrs. X  it is a huge mess, we even had to adopt new software to handle all the new codes for this monstrosity, therefore last week, since you were here for your yearly physical and lady exam, we could not address any other issues you were having, those were your two health issues, anything else needed a separate appointment”. 

She elaborated more, “This whole issue is costing more to the patient then what the American people were told, We had to buy new software- that cost was past off to the patient, now people are having to come back repeatedly to have health issues addressed, and having to pay more out of pocket co-pays, And some of those co-pays are upwards of $25-40.00. It also burdens the patient in making them come back again and again..   A lot of people are going to start suffering in more ways then one”  

“Wow” I said. “ You hear about the negative effects of it all the time, but it doesn’t hit home until you can see and hear about it first hand from a health care provider” I said.

She agreed then left the room so the doctor could come in.

I got placed on a new medication, and drove home thinking of the conversation with the nurse. For some reason a line from the movie “Jurassic Park” came to mind. It is one I like to refer to in times like these:

Democrats thought Obamacare was the answer and would solve this countries health care problems. Only it is a complete failure and costing us more and more every day. Plus full implementation keeps getting pushed back . if it was so great, then why keep delaying it all?
It is much like a man eating dinosaur, in that it is eating its way through the health care industry, and this economy.  The same people who are going to suffer the worst, are however the ones who voted for it, they are the ones who think Universal health care was a right.- They wanted it...now live with it.

Remember "No New Taxes" ?

At first I was very heated over the decsion by the SCOTUS. I had hope for a much better outcome.
Then Senior came home, and gave me a positive light about it. He made me see that the Admin has some heavy explaining to do to the American People. Could it be that in reality the SCOTUS is setting up the President? What they have just awoken is nothing less then a sleeping giant.

How is BO going to explain himself when at first it all wasnt a tax, but now it is.. 
He is now having to go back on his word much like George H. Bush did, when he said "No New Taxes".

In this horrible economy, millions out of work, people losing their homes every day..how in the heck is BO going to sell this new tax? 
Obamacare was the focal point of the 2010 midterms and now it has just been made the Pivotal benchmark topic of the 2012. It is going to make or break this election.
