If I find your Ipad...Atleast say "Thank You"

We checked in to the ultra fancy DoubleTree in Charlotte's South Park Area--very high dollar there. The boys went nuts over the pool with a waterfall, and the fact we got a two room suite...Thank Goodness for online shopping --all that luxury for a great rate.

Senior stepped out of the room and the boys and I proceeded to check the place out, I opened a night stand drawer, and there it was a perfectly good Ipad. "What the"-- I thought.  Okay, I know DoubleTree caters to the business professional, but offering Ipads? Oh C'mon! --That would be way over the top!..  : )

My cats curiosity got the best of me. The oldest child was watching with excitement, immediately he wanted me to download games for them to play....oh what to do?  I call the front desk, and no they do not offer Ipads to its guests. Obviously the last person who stayed here left it. They were sending some one up to retrieve it. "darn it!  but I could have had a free Ipad"... "no" - I tell myself not to think that way, Stealing is stealing, no matter the shape or form...the thing did not belong to me.

While waiting I turned it on and  browsed the owners contacts list, I found her phone number..I called, left a very polite message. Told her not to worry, her Ipad had been found. If it had been me- I would have been freaking over losing such an expensive item. And yes, I would have wanted whomever found it to return it.

That was last Friday, it is now Wednesday--and still no "Thank You"  return phone call from the owner.  I think: how rude, had anyone else found it they would have kept it. Then I think, that this person is obviously absent minded,  and she didn't remember leaving her valuable Ipad, seems it had been in that room since the 13th. of August, and it seemed she had no clue as to its whereabouts "What a airhead" !

I have her name, and I have her number, when We got home I decided to research her--seems she is a upscale designer in the Charlotte area. Young, so-so pretty, but not very bright. Most likely "Book Smart" as opposed to "Street Smart"
Yes, I could have kept it, But then I also had two little boys watching, and listening. And I know I need to live by example.Even though to this day I have yet to receive a Thank You--I know I did do the right thing...

So, I decided to pray for her, that she will find the fortitude to offer that little Thank You---yea pray it always works right?  and I know the perfect prayer:
